What is the best time and season for planting?
There is a common idea that the best time for planting is autumn or spring. Today, the plants which are grown in pots and containers can be planted in 12 months of year as long as the weather and soil conditions are suitable. On the planting time, the weather must be open and the soil must be dry to get better results on the planting.
For the root ball and bare root plants, they must be planted on winter months as these plants can be unrooted from the soil only in these months, as the water flow in the water is off, and morphologic move is slow. These plants must be planted very quickly after unrooting phase from the soil.

When is the best time for lawn establishment?
For Marmara and Istanbul district, grass seeding time is April to May and autumn months. The reason is low temperatures will freeze the seeds and high temperatures will burn the seeds. To avoid these incidents, the seeding must be done in these months.

What is the best seed grass mixture?
The usage of grass mixture is related to the climate factors and soil factors. Sometimes 3 seed mixtures, sometimes single seed mixtures can give better results than multi seed mixtures. When choosing the best mixture for your grass, it is better to consult a professional about choose.

What type of soil I must use for my plants and gardens
The framework of the garden is very essential to have nice looking plants and a healthy lawn area. The media soil must not include high levels of clay, rubber and other foreign materials. The soil must have a good water hold capacity, a balanced Ph and must be rich for the organic materials. Furthermore a well constructed drainage and irrigation system is important for a nice garden.

What kinds of fertilizers I must use and when to use them?
It is easy to find different types of fertilizers with different integridents and specifications in the market. Generally lawn areas must be fertilized at the season beginnings and changes. A winter fertilizer will help the lawn areas to be stronger in the hard winter conditions. The lawn areas are living organisms and they need different types of feeds. Zn, Pb, Mo, N, Fe is some of them. The grass will need these materials on the optimum growing seasons, spring and summer, and lack of these materials will harm the lawn areas. The lawns areas must be fertilized with these compose fertilizers average once in 20 days period. Some fertilizers have longer dissolving periods so they can be used in longer periods.
For plants, the general fertilizing time is spring and summer, to support their growth rate. You can also use compose fertilizers for plants, for the blossoms you can use CaNO3 for better and more flowers. There are also some special produced fertilizers for specific plants. (Roses, Azaleas, Rhodendrons, Conifers)

When is the best time for pruning

The general pruning time can be described as spring and autumn. The autumn pruning must not be applied near to winter as open wounds can froze the plant. The shaping pruning must be done in other months also but it most be avoided in hard winter days. Some special plant types requires different times and techniques.
